Floral Delights: A Journey of Blooms and Bites

We are thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration between Ann’s Smart School of Cookery and local flower farm, Plum Meadow!

Plum Meadow is a micro flower farm based in Little Baddow, Essex, growing eco-conscious flowers throughout the British growing season. Run by Zoë who has a background working both on regenerative farms and front of house for high-end restaurants; giving good insight for what is needed to make a product the highest possible quality, both for the environment and the final customer. Plum Meadow’s flowers are often reminiscent of a cottage garden, with a focus on celebrating the changing seasons and each new flower that comes with the unpredictable British weather. Whether you are looking for a single bunch or buckets of flowers for an event, all Plum Meadow blooms are free from chemical fertilisers and pesticides, floral foam and single-use plastics - because beautiful flowers do not need to cost the Earth.

This collaboration brings together the art of culinary expertise and the beauty of locally grown flowers, creating a unique and enchanting experience for our students. By partnering with Plum Meadow, we aim to showcase the importance of sustainability, supporting local businesses, and incorporating fresh, seasonal ingredients in both our culinary creations and floral arrangements.

Together, we will offer workshops that combine the skills of cooking with the art of floral design, allowing participants to explore the harmonious relationship between food and flowers. Through this collaboration, we hope to inspire creativity, foster a deeper appreciation for nature's bounty, and provide our students with a holistic and unforgettable learning experience. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!
