This former cognac estate, dating back to the 16th century, set amongst 4 acres of formal ground and woodland that includes a yoga/fitness studio, activity barn and a large heated swimming pool.  We are able to arrange additional services to make the most of your holiday such as private yoga classes, massage & spa treatments, wine tasting.

The Maison de la Vaure estate can be rented in its entirety or as individual properties; La Maison, La Petite Maison and La Longére.

La Maison

Luxurious seclusion

La Maison dates back to the 16th century and occupies a commanding position at the front of the estate, with views over the surrounding farmland. The house has been newly decorated and furnished in 2017.

Traditional comfort

There are formal grounds to the front of the house and a private courtyard to the rear. The house offers a large drawing room with an adjoining snug ideal for children, a large dining room with an adjoining eat-in kitchen, plus a library off the dining room which is ideal for an after-dinner drink.

La Petite Maison

A charming French farmhouse, 2 double ensuite bedrooms, family kitchen, sitting room & private garden.

La Petite Maison is the epitome of traditional French farmhouse. It boasts superb views over the picturesque fields towards a castle-topped hill and a private garden.

La Petite Maison has been lovingly converted into a large two bedroom cottage, sleeping up to 6 adults. 

Two bedrooms have their own en-suite and separate dressing room, which provides additional sleeping space for small children or babies. 

The sitting room has a double bed if additional sleeping space is required sharing a ‘jack and jill’ en-suite bathroom  

Garden & BBQ Area

Both the kitchen and sitting room have log burners and the house is also centrally heated.

There is a pretty outside dining area with a large table and BBQ, accessed from the kitchen. 

The house enjoys its own private garden and parking.

La Longére

Attractive farm cottage with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, family kitchen, sitting room & private garden.

Escape from it all 

La Longére sits to the rear of the estate with lovely views over the neighbouring farmland.

The 3 upstairs bedrooms* are configured as 2 double and 1 twin room sharing a bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Rustic charm

There is a large downstairs double bedroom and a downstairs bathroom with shower and bath, with separate w/c.

A large eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with a separate sitting room and log burner.
